Introduction

I suppose you are waiting for this moment as soon as you start the secondary education... A schooltrip to a foreign country! A journey to a different place where you will learn and above all, where you will have a lot of fun!

Here you will have the opportunity of planning this trip. You will decide where to go and what to do. The head teacher has entrusted you with the task of preparing the trip to an Anglo-saxon country. You will work in groups of three to plan the journey and present it in a catalogue. The best journey will be chosen by the students.

Each group will divide the tasks into three different researchs, one per nose: the travel agency, the tourist guide and the public relations.

The Task

You will make a catalogue of the journey, setting down the different activities and places to visit. The catalogue will have the following information:

a) Date of departure and arrival, with times and flight numbers.

b) Hotels, guest houses or hostels.

c) Towns and cities to be visited.

d) Everyday schedule .

d) Photographs.

e) Price per head.

You will present the catalogue to your class mates so that they can make a decision of which is the best trip to do.

The Process

1st step:You will be assigned to a group of three students. After that, make a decision. Choose between England, Ireland and Scotland as a destiny to the journey. To do that, complete the Treasure Hunt visiting the provided links.

2nd step:decide your roles: travel agent, tourist guide and public relations.

The travel agent: you will get information about flights and hotels of any kind and price.

3rd step:Now you've got much information to put together. Call a meeting and make a group decision of the activities and places to be included in the final catalogue. Decide what is more important to you and your class mates: 'price or quality', 'funny activities or cultural activities'...

4th step:You are supposed to have all the information you need to make the catalogue. That's the moment to design it. Remember, you have to make it attractive, with colours and photographs!

5th step:Once you have made the catalogue, make a presentation of about 15 minutes to the rest of the class and wait for the final decision!
